Disaster Preparedness Training

Would you be ready if a large-scale natural or man-made disaster occurred in the community? It seems that every time we read in the newspaper of unexpected tragedies leaving families homeless and without basic needs like food and shelter. Many local leaders of non-profits and religious organiations attended PFFs January training course taught by SEPA VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster).  SEPA VOAD is part of a national collaboration of diverse organizations and citizens trained to meet community needs should a large-scale natural or man-made disaster occur. VOAD coordinates planning efforts and, during a disaster, matches community needs with services provided by member VOAD agencies. This cooperative effort has proven to be the most effective way for a wide variety of volunteers and organizations to work together in a crisis. Volunteers were trained to work before, during and in the aftermath of a large-scale disaster. VOAD offers members of organizations free disaster trainings. Get peace of mind knowing you are prepared before a disaster strikes and can look after themselves and their families post-disaster.
